The ISTA conference series was founded in 2001 as a joint effort of Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt and National Technical University “KhPI”. Over time, it became a well-respected event joining international researchers to discuss wide range of the development, implementation, application and improvement of information systems. After traveling around the globe (being held in USA in 2004, New Zealand in 2005, and Austria in 2006) ISTA 2007 returns back to its initial place - Kharkiv, Ukraine. ISTA 2007 builds on the success of previous ISTA conferences. It will concentrate on the latest inventions, achievements, and experiences in information system based (business) technologies. The goal of the conference is to bring together practitioners, researchers, users and information providers involved in the development and deployment of commercial and industrial information systems to exchange ideas, present their recent research and discuss possible collaborations.
